Frustration-free printing with the Zuta mobile printer
Few things in life have frustrated me as much as printers, but thanks to the Zuta, that might change. The small mobile printer, shown here at the 2015 International CES, is super-compact and, most importantly, easy to use.
It connects via Wi-Fi and works with any computer, tablet or smartphone. In order to print, you simply align the Zuta with the paper by placing it at the top left corner of the page. Once it’s set up, you can use the Zuta app to print whatever documents you’d like. The robotic printer chugs along, relatively quietly, from left to right and, depending on what you’re printing, can take awhile.
It uses a proprietary ink cartridge, but the company is still tweaking it for better efficiency. Originally begun as a Zuta Labs Kickstarter project called the Pocket Printer, the Zuta is currently available for preorder for $199 and will jump in price to $250 after it’s released. That converts to about £130 or AU$ and £165 or AU$245. Check back on CNET for updates and check out other cool tech from CES 2015.
